Re: TCOS Karten (NetKey, SignTrust, Smartkey)

Andreas Jellinghaus-2
Hi,

does anyone know what changed from 0.9.6 to trunk to cause
this? opensc-tool -f -vvvvvv on a tcos card with 0.9.6:

card.c:229:sc_transmit_apdu: called
card.c:196:sc_transceive: Sending 8 bytes (resp. 260 bytes):
00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00 FF .....?..
card.c:249:sc_transmit_apdu: Received 33 bytes (SW1=90 SW2=00)
6F 1F 83 02 3F 00 82 01 38 85 01 01 84 05 D2 76 o...?...8......v
00 00 03 86 0C 60 00 00 00 FF FF A4 00 00 00 FF .....`..........
FF                                              .

with trunk:
card.c:220:sc_transceive: Sending 7 bytes (resp. 258 bytes):
00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00 .....?.
card.c:273:sc_transmit_apdu: Received 0 bytes (SW1=67 SW2=00)
iso7816.c:98:iso7816_check_sw: Wrong length
card-tcos.c:497:hacked_iso7816_select_file: returning with: Wrong length
card.c:762:sc_select_file: returning with: Wrong length
SELECT FILE failed: Wrong length
card.c:537:sc_unlock: called

I'm confused, why is "ff" (max length or response?) missing in trunk?
or do I need to change something in the config file?

Thanks, for your help.

Regards, Andreas

The OpenSC snapshot from 09/01/2005 does NOT show this behaviour.
So something must happemd within the last weeks. And maybe this
is the reason why createion of daily snapshots stopped on 09/02/2005.

Peter

PS: Why do my postings always start a new thread even if I reply to

hmm, which protocol do you use (T0 or T1) ? One change in card.c removes
the Le byte in case of the T0 protocol for case4 APDUs (if sc_transceive
should build the TPDU as defined in iso7816-4 this should be correct).

Cheers,
Nils

the behaviour might depend on other factors as well

broken email client ? At least this mail didn't start a new thread
for my mozilla.

web.de does not use In-Reply-To: headers while gmx.net does.

I just tried opensc-20050913.tar.gz

configure --prefix=/usr/opensc \
          --with-openssl=/usr/openssl \
          --with-pcsc-lite=/usr/pcsc

does not work anymore, final output is:

no, that was a configure mess. I install libassuan-dev, so the snapshot
tried to build the signer, which worked, but installing it
to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ (default location) of course did not work,
(not writeable for normal users). de-installed libassuan-dev again
and it is fine.

this one was fine. bug in your email software?

please try
export
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/pcsc/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/openssl/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/openct/lib/pkgconfig
configure --prefix=/usr/opensc

and you should be fine.

we removed --with-foo options in favor or pkg-config. you can either set
PKG_CONFIG_PATH to the appropriate directories, or manualy set PCSC_CFLAGS
and PCSC_LIBS (or OPENCT_* or OPENSSL_*) to specify what is needed for
linking / compiling.
