sorry, maybe I didn't make this public enough :)
the snapshot script now also publishes the documentation.
i.e. doc/ of each package is copied over to
http://www.opensc.org/doc/<project>/

so you can use that link to the latest documentation.

hmm. ok. maybe in a subdir, to not confuse users?

Perfect.

The files in http://www.opensc.org/man/pam_pkcs11/ are still dated
17-Jul-2005. Is http://www.opensc.org/man/<project>/ also supposed to
work?

logs/ is fine for me.

Thanks,

now they are up to date. the snapshot script updates them, so I wonder
how you got the old file date.

oops, no. I had a script to generate html from man content
and then publish it. but thanks to bert all man pages are
now in xml format, and make dist renders them to html and
man. so what I did was make opensc put the man pages
in man/ and the html version in doc/html/
and whole doc is copied, including html/ so those are available
that way.

do you need html/man rendering?
I like those xml -> man/html conversion, although I don't know
much about the details, so maybe that is a way for you too?

I guess it's using XSL and XSLT. Check w3schools.com for a quick,
glossy overview. Really handy for separating data from layout.

I have no idea either.

That would be fine.

http://www.opensc.org/pam_pkcs11 references man pages but they are
wiki pages. And I do not want to keep the wiki pages and man pages in
sync manually.

If you can convert automatically from man to html I could use these pages.

Maybe we will rewrite the man pages in xml one day.

Bye,

oops, wrong place. guess i should rm -rf man ?
take a look at doc/pam_pkc11/
not man/pam_pkcs11/

> If you can convert automatically from man to html I could use these pages.

hmm. maybe you want to include that in your make dist commands?
man2html debian package/cmd does what you need.

or I can build in some special rule for pam_pkcs11 into my snapshot
script.

there are tools to do the conversion automaticaly, but I don't know
how good they are, not do I know whether bert used a tool or did
everything himself (guess I asked before and already forgot, sorry).
bert?
