What happened to SSL Engine Support

Somewhere between svn 2478 and 2623 the ssl engine code was dropped.
What happened to it?

Hi Douglas,

the engine code can be used with other pkcs#11 modules
too, so we made it a standalone project.

and files/testing/

oops I guess no(t much?) documentation there so far.

The engine uses libp11 with is also a spin off - same
code base, a library that is much easier to use than pkcs#11
directly.
