Wrong card?

lasse-4
Using Debian Sarge's packets of opensc, libopensc1, libopensc-openssl,
mozilla-opensc, libccid, libopenctl, and openct (which is not in use,
it could not find my reader scr331) oh my! do I really need all those?

Then trying my FinEID-card I get:

roope:/home/lasse# opensc-tool -an
3B 7B 94 00 00 80 62 11 51 56 46 69 6E 45 49 44 ;{....b.QVFinEID
Unidentified card

roope:/home/lasse# cardos-info
Received (SW1=0x6A, SW2=0x88)

And opensc-explorer says:
OpenSC [3F00]> info

Dedicated File  ID 3F00

File path:     3F00
File size:     18 bytes
DF name:       \xA0\x00\x00\x00cPKCS-15
ACL for SELECT:          N/A
ACL for LOCK:            N/A
ACL for DELETE:          N/A
ACL for CREATE:          N/A
ACL for REHABILITATE:    N/A
ACL for INVALIDATE:      N/A
ACL for LIST FILES:      N/A
Proprietary attributes:  88 E8

roope:/home/lasse# cardos-info
Received (SW1=0x6A, SW2=0x88)

Do I need some other profile than /usr/share/opensc/pkcs15.profile, or
what is missing? I am lost!

which opensc version ? could you try the rc for 0.10 (as
the atr of your card is listed in the rc it might already
support it) ?

well as it's not a cardos token => this result isn't really
surprising ;-)

the profile files shouldn't matter for initialized cards

I can not :[ tried Version:20051026 and opensc-0.10.0-pre3, both returned
lots, and lots of errors and did not make in Debian Sarge.
I followed instructions, only thing missing is openssl dev, can't find such.
Do I even need it with FinEID card?

It was configured as:

Version:             0.10.0-pre3
User binaries:       /usr/bin
Configuration files: /etc

Host:                i686-pc-linux-gnu
Compiler:            gcc
Compiler flags:      -Wall -fno-strict-aliasing -g -O2
Preprocessor flags:  -I${top_builddir}/src/include
Linker flags:
Libraries:           -lpthread  -lz

OpenSSL support:          no
PC/SC support:            yes
OpenCT support:           yes
Assuan support:           no

what kind of errors ?

sorry, I don't use debian so I can't help you with this

in your case it should work without openssl

Re: Wrong card?

Andreas Jellinghaus-2
please
        dpkg -l |grep pcsc
and send me the result. maybe also attach your config.log file,
so I can see what went wrong in the configure code.

I wonder how this happends - somehow configure must
have detected pcsc on your system, but you don't have it.

fix:
install libpcsclite-dev
and compiling shoudl work again.

our nightly snapshots are compiling on a debian sarge machine
every night :) ...

[cut]

try apt-get install libpcsclite-dev

I think it's because of the libsomething/libsomething-dev split, I'm
hitting it quite often. I think that on the contrary, configure didn't
do the check for header files for pcsc - it just tried -lpcsc and that
worked.

but maybe i'm wrong ;)

svn opensc / opensc 0.10.* use PKG_CONFIG check so they look for
libpcsclite.pc which should be in the *.dev package only.

could you please check if you have a "libpcsclite.pc"
in /usr/lib/pkgconfig and/or /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig?

for some reason your config.log reads:
configure:23439: checking for PCSC_CFLAGS
configure:23447: $PKG_CONFIG --exists "libpcsclite" >/dev/null 2>&1
configure:23450: $? = 0
configure:23460: result: -I/usr/local/include
configure:23462: checking for PCSC_LIBS
configure:23470: $PKG_CONFIG --exists "libpcsclite" >/dev/null 2>&1
configure:23473: $? = 0
configure:23483: result: -L/usr/local/lib -lpcsclite

but since you installe libpcsclite-dev package, those values
are wrong, so I wondere where they come from.

Yes, I have them both (?!)

/usr/local/include is empty, libpcsclite-dev in /usr/include/PCSC,
libpcsclite is in /usr/lib. Is that right?
Something is NOT!

So I faked and symlinked /usr/include/PCSC/* -> /usr/local/include/
That made it!

I can sign in, but not make signatures via firefox, some plugin is missing.
(I have mozilla-opensc 0.9.6-1) Firefox can not find proper plugin...)
That is another story and not so important right now.

But I am satisfied. Thanks to all, your help was very valuable.

can you post the content of both?

> /usr/local/include is empty, libpcsclite-dev in /usr/include/PCSC,

then there should be no /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig/libpcsclite.pc file.
if you have one, please move it away and try again, I guess that
is the reason for your problems.

> libpcsclite is in /usr/lib. Is that right?

yes, the debian packets has the include files in /usr/lnclude/PCSC,
the lib in /usr/lib and the pkg-config file in /usr/lib/pkgcconfig
(and contains settings for -I/usr/include and -L/usr/lib etc.)
