serial device to socket forwarding?

Bud P. Bruegger
Hi again,

I'm still looking into the problem of using the PIV software card emulator
from OpenSC.  The emulator listens to a socket that understands the TLP224
protocol.

I have in the meantime found an (unsupported) Muscle driver for TLP224
readers that connects to a serial device
(http://www.gemplus.com/techno/tlp_drivers/#sources)

Does anyone know of some utility or trick to bridge between a serial device
and a socket?  Maybe something like netpipes
(http://www.onlamp.com/lpt/a/4862)?

Any help highly appreciated
