serial port configuration

Taimo Kolsar
Please help me to install Towitoko serial port smart cart reader.
I installed opensc, but opensc-tool --list-readers says: No readers
configured!
What to do next?

Taimo

OpenSC is for the smart cards.
It needs some software for the card readers below it.

Linux:
Either install OpenCT (and edit the config file, there
is an example you only need to uucomment) or install
pcsc-lite plus the towitoko driver for pcscs-lite
(see http://www.linuxnet.com/ for both - or your linux
distribution).

Windows:
Oops, no idea. I guess the reader comes with a driver
you need to install?

Regards, Andreas

Yes, the Towitoko (aka Chipdrive aka SCR335) has windows drivers (see
http://www.scmmicro.de/support/pcs_product_drivers.html) which serves
the PCSC-Interface. So install the drivers and activate pcsc-reader.
Just for a reference, my configfile (mostly the default, stripped of
almost all comments) looks like this:
 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
app default {
    debug = 0;

    reader_drivers = pcsc;

    reader_driver pcsc {
    }

    # GPK card driver
    card_driver gpk {
    }

    # PKCS #15
    framework pkcs15 {
        use_caching = true;
    }
}

# For applications that use SCAM (pam_opensc, sia_opensc)
app scam {
    framework pkcs15 {
        use_caching = false;
    }
}

# Parameters for the OpenSC PKCS11 module
app opensc-pkcs11 {
    pkcs11 {
        num_slots = 4;
        hide_empty_slots = false;
        lock_login = true;
        cache_pins = false;
        soft_keygen_allowed = true;
    }
}
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Hope it helps.
